Veronica, what an excellent post! Very inspirational. No, I felt that way long before I saw that you had mentioned my lens!

I absolutely second it on AJ’s Squid Etiquette. It’s passionate; it’s needed. That’s the bottom line on it as far as I’m concerned. If I haven’t done so already, I’d like to take this opportunity to officially thank AJ. AJ, thank you so much for making Squid Etiquette!

What always amazes me is how new lensmasters launch themselves into the SquidU Forum and more recently on here and they obviously have done NO research whatsoever. They have not read the Forum Guidlines, they have not read the stickies at the start of each thread and they do not have a clue about how to conduct themselves, let alone how to “make friends and influence people”.

It is partly out of frustration about this that drove me to write my lens Squid Etiquette.

Quite a few lensmasters have thanked me for it and one was even big enough to admit he wished he had read it before he started posting on the Forum.

MiMi’s lens is one of my favourites!

There is certainly no shortage of bad advice out there; whether about how to Squidoo or how to market on the internet in general. It’s hard for someone new to know whose advice to follow. Your efforts will be beneficial for sure.

Looking forward to seeing what you do with your new blogs. Spent time today to reflect on my focus as well. All of this social stuff has to be tamed somehow!! Been feeling quite stretched lately. Wondering if Tagfoot is for me; haven’t had much time to really learn it, and on its surface, I am not getting much or giving much. May just have to go ask John Dilbeck some questions. Great update on what’s going on with your new job. I was wondering how that would work out for you. It is cool that you’re getting to learn about new topics that may someday help you develop lenses. Also cool that you get paid every day. I’m happy to hear this is working out well for you.

I tried it in FireFox & IE, and saw no problems with the blog. The Creative Scentsations doesn’t fit where it is, but it didn’t cause a problem seeing the blog itself.
